The Loreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara is a recent recent release for Summer 2017. And as I mentioned in my recent favorites post, this is a mascara worth checking out. Keep reading for why.
To cut to the chase, I love this mascara. I’ve had it for about a month now and I haven’t reached for another mascara except for testing purposes. My lashes are just difficult. They tend to stick straight out and are neither long or voluminous. In short, I demand a lot from a mascara and this one delivers.
Application
The Loreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara has a fairly natural bristle brush. When you first pull the mascara wand out, it has a lot of product on it. So you’d think that it would be harder to apply and get clumpy easily. And you’d be wrong. Somehow it manages to add instant volume and length, but still keep your lashes looking separated. I was shocked in a good way.
Longevity
I don’t have good luck with Loreal mascaras. Even the waterproof varieties end up smudged underneath my eyes by the end of the day. This is the first one I’ve tried that doesn’t do that. Now, I will admit that I pretty much use Cover Girl Clump Crusher Water Resistant mascara on my lower lashes exclusively. But historically, even when I just applied Loreal mascaras to my top lashes only, I still had smudging. Not the case with the Loreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara. I also think it does a decent job of keeping the curl that I try so hard to get.
High-End Comparison
A lot of bloggers have made the connection to the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara because the color of the tube and the brush are seem similar. I didn’t care for the Too Faced mascara. It managed to both smudge and flake on me and I had a hard time not getting it to clump. So I don’t have a tube to actually compare myself. However, a YouTuber (Emily Fox) I love posted a great side-by-side review if you’re curious. (Spoiler: She liked the Loreal mascara better.)
